JDM Technology Group Achieves Carbon Neutrality Certification

We are thrilled to announce that Conest parent company JDM Technology Group has received official Carbon Neutrality certification from carbonfootprint.com. This milestone marks an important step in our ongoing commitment to sustainability and reducing our environmental impact. The certification process followed the stringent DEFRA Guidelines, ensuring that JDM companies emissions assessment and offsetting measures meet international standards.

Comprehensive Carbon Footprint Assessment

The assessment conducted by Carbon Footprint Ltd covered a 12-month period ending December 31, 2023. The emissions were calculated based on Scope 1, 2, and selected categories of Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, including:

• Scope 1: Direct emissions from owned or controlled sources
• Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased energy
• Scope 3 (partially included): Purchased goods and services (3.1), capital goods (3.2), fuel- and energy-related activities (3.3), waste (3.5), business travel (3.6), and employee commuting (3.7)

The total emissions amounted to 1,326.83 tonnes of CO₂e (market-based) and 1,270.31 tonnes of CO₂e (location-based).

Offsetting Our Carbon Footprint

In partnership with Carbon Footprint Ltd, JDM offset 1,588 tonnes of CO₂ through a series of verified and impactful carbon reduction projects:

• VCS2410 / Reforestation in Ghana: Restoring degraded forest reserves to absorb carbon, contributing 397 tCO₂ offset.
• GS6041/6042/5951/5955 / Safe Water Project in Zoba Anseba: Providing communities with access to safe drinking water, offsetting 397 tCO₂.
• VCS 2416 & 2442 / Improved Cook Stoves Distribution: Reducing emissions by promoting energy-efficient stoves, offsetting 397 tCO₂.
• VCS1753+1580 / Solar Project by ACME Group: Expanding solar energy to reduce fossil fuel reliance, contributing another 397 tCO₂ offset.
